Important Information: The following information is provided by the West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA).
On December 7, 2017 the West Travis County Public Utility Agency’s (PUA) 20-inch transmission main on U.S. Highway 290 just west of Nutty Brown Road will be taken out of service to facilitate relocating 150’ of this main for the Belterra Commercial Project.
The Stage 4 emergency measures require PUA customers to eliminate non-essential water uses during this project. This includes the following measures:
Irrigation of landscaped areas is prohibited.
Use of water for the irrigation of golf course greens, tees, and fairways is prohibited unless the golf course uses an alternative water supply source, such as reclaimed water, rainwater, or gray water.
Use of water from fire hydrants shall be limited to firefighting and activities necessary to maintain public health, safety, and welfare only.
Stage 4 emergency measures will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 8 for customers on the PUA-U.S. 290 System west of Nutty Brown Road including:

The PUA initiates Stage 4 water restrictions during water emergencies including water main relocations, major water line breaks, loss of distribution pressure, or pump system failures that cause substantial loss in its ability to provide water service.
