Flood Recovery Resource Update
05/31/2019

The City of Dripping Springs, in collaboration with Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOADS) continues to assist members of our community who were impacted by the flood in early May.

VOADS is a group comprised of various non-profit organizations that help those in need following a disaster.  The individual organizations provide services coordinated through a central contact facilitated by the City’s Emergency Management Commission (EMC). The City itself does not provide these services.

“By centralizing requests, we can maximize resources allowing us to help more people,” Amy Roedl said, EMC Non-Profit Commissioner.

Some of the local Dripping Springs organizations involved in recent and ongoing assistance are:

Dripping Springs Helping Hands
Dripping Springs Hometown Missions
Dripping Springs United Methodist Church
Friendship Creekside Church
Hill Country Bible Church
Project Connect
St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus
St. Vincent De Paul
Wesley Nurse/ Hill Country Health Ministry Team

Some of the services available are food, clothing, household needs, furnishings replacement, help with moving, help with repairs on private property, health surveillance and resources, and emotional support.

Anyone affected by the recent flood and in need of assistance should contact  info@hometownmissions.org or 512-481-2562.  Those who have already completed the intake process should contact their assigned case manager for any additional needs. For volunteer information, please contact info@hometownmissions.org.
