Dripping Springs has been managing rapid growth for many years, and this growth is expected to continue. The City has worked hard to protect community values and quality of life in the face of this growth by implementing and updating City regulations as needed.
To help with the growing demands of the City as well as make a smoother experience for builders, planners and engineers, the City as created a comprehensive City of Dripping Springs Development Manual. The manual provides applicants with information, guidance, and the forms necessary to submit a complete application as required by the City’s adopted ordinances. It covers all aspects of the development process, such as how the process works, how to apply for building permits, signage and lighting regulations and more.
This is the first time the City has put together a development manual and did so with feedback from contractors, engineers and developers currently doing business with the City, including holding an open house in November to give developers a chance to offer face-to-face feedback. Through that feedback, the City created a guide that is comprehensive and assists those bringing new residences and businesses to the City understand the development process, while also outlining the City’s expectations for responsible growth. It helps the City accommodate the needs of residents, businesses and visitors, while also enabling the development community to further the City of Dripping Springs legacy as one of the area’s best communities in Central Texas.
Developers can find the manual in the Planning and Development section of the City’s website, cityofdrippingsprings.com.
