The Dripping Springs City Council adopted a Resolution to create a COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses at last night’s City Council meeting. The Relief Program is designed to help local businesses affected by the coronavirus.
The Resolution was presented by the COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses Committee, which was formed last month to provide input and suggestions to the Council on how to best help the business community. The committee looked at ways the City could help local businesses such as waiving various permit application fees, wastewater service fees, and provide additional opportunities for signage.
To that end, the COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses includes the following help for local businesses:
The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses Resolution is in effect for a period of sixty days, commencing June 10, 2020, unless a different date is stated above for a particular waiver. The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses is not retroactive.
Dripping Springs Mayor Bill Foulds, Jr. says, “Businesses across the country, including many local businesses in Dripping Springs, are facing tough times because of COVID-19. While businesses are beginning to reopen, they are still facing an uphill financial road ahead. We want to do everything we can to support and provide relief for our local businesses that have been financially affected during this pandemic.”
