Transportation Master Plan Virtual Public Open House Extended to December 15

DRIPPING SPRINGS, TEXAS December 8, 2020 - The City of Dripping Springs is extending its Transportation Master Plan Virtual Open House to December 15. The virtual open house was originally set to close today, but because part of the open house was held over the Thanksgiving holidays, the City is extending it by a week.

The City has received a lot of great feedback, questions and comments. Extending the open house gives the community more time to provide additional feedback. The City is also planning to hold a public meeting in March, where citizens can voice their comments and feedback in person. The date for this public meeting will be announced sometime in early 2021.

A Transportation Master Plan is a planning document that defines goals and policies for a city’s transportation system and develops recommendations to prepare for future needs of the community. The Transportation Master Plan for the City of Dripping Springs will:

  • Promote safe mobility within the City’s transportation infrastructure
  • Develop a future transportation system that accommodates growth
  • Establish the ultimate roadway network and identify right-of-way needs to meet future growth
  • Identify mobility improvements

Public input gathered during the virtual open house will help refine the Transportation Master Plan before presenting the final document to City officials for consideration.
