    FULL PURPOSE ANNEXATION, PUBLIC HEARING FOR APPROXIMATELY 8.546 ACRES

    LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under the provisions of Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government Code that the City of Dripping Springs will hold a public hearing during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on February 18, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., located at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas, for the purpose of receiving public comments on the proposed initiation of voluntary annexation proceedings of the following property located 2300 W. U.S. 290 in Hays County, Texas also referred to as AAA Storage.

     

    Being approximately 8.546 acres of land, out of the Benjamin F. Hanna Survey, Abstract No. 222, Section Number 28, Hays County, Texas.

    The property description, including a map, is available for inspection at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.     NOTICE TO BIDDERS

    Ranch Park Dam Repairs and Improvements

    Sealed bids addressed to Ms. Michelle Fischer, City Administrator, City of Dripping Springs, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620, for furnishing all labor, material and equipment and performing all work required for the project titled Ranch Park Dam Repairs and Improvements (project includes grading, stabilization, erosion protection and pedestrian path) will be received until February 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM and then publicly opened and read aloud at the Dripping Springs City Hall at the same address. The outside of bid envelopes must state the date and time of bid and also "Ranch Park Dam". No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled opening time. Any bids received after scheduled bid opening time will be returned unopened. An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at the City of Dripping Springs City Hall at 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas, 78620 on February 18, 2020 at 1:30 PM.

    Bids must be submitted on City of Dripping Springs bid forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Dripping Springs, Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Contractors may not submit electronic bids or bonds.

    Plans, Bid Forms, Specifications, and Instructions to Bidders may be obtained via email at kevin.hoffman@rpsgroup.com beginning February 6, 2020. A bid package set will also be available for viewing at City of Dripping Springs City Hall (512) 858-4725 and at the office of RPS, 4801 Southwest Parkway, Parkway 2, Suite 150, Austin, Texas 78735 Phone: (512) 328-5771.

    The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be given to the successful bidder by the City within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids, and no bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety.

    State statutes including wage and hour provisions and contract regulations must be adhered to as they relate to this project. Contractors will be required to comply with all applicable federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations.

    The right is reserved, as the interest of the City of Dripping Springs may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any information in bids received. This project is being partly funded in part by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance Grant, and the City will follow all application guidelines thus required.

    FEBRUARY 27, 2020 AT 5:30 P.M.

    CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 511 MERCER STREET, DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX

    A public hearing is being held on February 27, 2020 at 5:30 pm at 511 Mercer St, Dripping Springs, TX 78620 to discuss the City of Dripping Springs proposed project to expand the South Regional Water Reclamation Facilities (West Interceptor, Reclaimed Waterline, Water Reclamation Facility, and Reclaimed Water Holding Pond) south of Dripping Springs.  One of the purposes of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it.  The total estimated cost of the project is $19,000,000.  The estimated monthly sewer bill for a typical resident is currently $50.00.  A user rate increase and/or a connection fee/tax/surcharge/other fee will be not be required to finance this project.  An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231.  An Environmental Information Document for the project has been prepared and will be available for public review at Dripping Springs’ city hall  at 511 Mercer St, Dripping Springs, TX 78620 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on the proposed project may be sent to 1507 South IH 35, Austin, Texas, 78741 or to the Texas Water Development Board (Project #73819).
