    SOUTH REGIONAL WATER RECLAMATION FACILITIES

    FEBRUARY 27, 2020 AT 5:30 P.M.

    CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS - 511 MERCER STREET, DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX

    A public hearing is being held on February 27, 2020 at 5:30 pm at 511 Mercer St, Dripping Springs, TX 78620 to discuss the City of Dripping Springs proposed project to expand the South Regional Water Reclamation Facilities (West Interceptor, Reclaimed Waterline, Water Reclamation Facility, and Reclaimed Water Holding Pond) south of Dripping Springs.  One of the purposes of this meeting is to discuss the potential environmental impacts of the project and alternatives to it.  The total estimated cost of the project is $19,000,000.  The estimated monthly sewer bill for a typical resident is currently $50.00.  A user rate increase and/or a connection fee/tax/surcharge/other fee will be not be required to finance this project.  An application for financial assistance for the project has been filed with the Texas Water Development Board, P.O. Box 13231, Austin, Texas, 78711-3231.  An Environmental Information Document for the project has been prepared and will be available for public review at Dripping Springs’ city hall  at 511 Mercer St, Dripping Springs, TX 78620 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on the proposed project may be sent to 1507 South IH 35, Austin, Texas, 78741 or to the Texas Water Development Board (Project #73819).

    APPLICATION PERIOD FOR HOTEL LOCAL OCCUPANCY TAX GRANT FUNDING 
    PROGRAM

    Application period for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Local Hotel Occupancy Tax Grant Funding Program
    is open beginning Friday, March 20, 2020 through Friday, May 01, 2020.

    The City of Dripping Springs is accepting applications for Local Hotel Occupancy Tax Grant Funds for projects that directly enhance and promote tourism and the convention and hotel industry.  Projects must increase overnight stays in the area and meet one of eight categories for expenditure: 1) convention and visitor centers; 2) convention registration; 3) advertising the city; 4) promotion of the arts; 5) historical restoration and preservation; and 6) sporting events; 7) transportation systems for tourists; 8) signage directing tourists to sights and attractions; or 9) promotion and preservation of dark skies. The grant guidelines and application are available at City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, on the website at http://www.cityofdrippingsprings.com, or at Dripping Springs Ranch Park located at 1024 Event Center Drive.  Applications are due by 5:00 pm, May 01, 2019.  Please call (512) 858- 4725 if you have any questions about this program.
