  • NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR TEXT AMENDMENT

    A Public Hearing will be held at the City of Dripping Springs Planning & Zoning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. on June 23, 2020 and at the City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. on July 14, 2020 at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas, to consider a text amendment to Article 28.04, Site Development, and Exhibit A, Subdivision Ordinance, Section 15, Sidewalks, to provide an option for fee-in-lieu for sidewalks.
    The proposed zoning text amendment is available for viewing at Dripping Springs City Hall, 511 Mercer Street, during regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If City Hall is closed to visitors during this period, you can request review of any documents by emailing planning@cityofdrippingsprings.com. If City Hall is closed to visitors on the day of the meeting, or the meeting is virtual for another reason, the City will post this information on its website at www.cityofdrippingsprings.com so that the public may have access to the meeting. Comments regarding this ordinance amendment may be emailed to planning@cityofdrippingsprings.com or mailed to PO Box 384, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.     MUNICIPAL BUDGET HEARING NOTICE
    FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021

    The City of Dripping Springs, Texas, will hold a public hearing at the following day, time and place for the purpose of receiving written or oral comments concerning the proposed budget for fiscal year 2020-2021.

    Date: August 11, 2020
    Time: 6:30 p.m.

    Place: City Hall Council Chambers via Zoom Videoconference
    511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620
    (Meeting join information is posted on the City’s website calendar on homepage.)

    This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $224,350 or 17.23% and of that amount $177,956 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

    All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and/or submit written comments.  A copy of the proposed budget in its entirety is available for public inspection during normal business hours in the office of the City Secretary, 511 Mercer Street, Dripping Springs, Texas 78620 and on the City’s web site at cityodrippingsprings.com  Written comments can be emailed to City Secretary Andrea Cunningham at acunningham@cityofdrippingsprings.com or mailed to the Attention of the City Secretary, City of Dripping Springs, PO Box 384, Dripping Springs, TX 78640.

  • The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses is designed to help local businesses affected by the coronavirus. and includes the following help for local businesses:

    • Wastewater Fee Waivers:
      The City will waive one month of wastewater fees for commercial properties. Businesses must apply by June 26, 2020. Applications can be found here: Disaster Relief Wastewater Application for Website.pdf

    • Inspection/Permits Discount:
      A one-time 25% discount will be given on permit or inspection renewals, including food establishment permits,
      child/adult care, church and school establishment Inspections, and alcohol beverage permits. This is for renewals for existing businesses only and must be requested at time of renewal.

    • Additional Temporary Signs and Fee Waivers:
      Temporary Sign Permit Fees are waived until September 30, 2020. The City will also allow one additional temporary sign through September 30, 2020, on all properties in Dripping Springs.


    The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses Resolution is in effect for a period of sixty days, commencing June 10, 2020, unless a different date is stated above for a particular waiver. The COVID-19 Disaster Relief Program for Businesses is not retroactive.
