A Fall Market

When the squelching heat of summer softens into the sunny coolness of fall, the Dripping Farmers Market explodes with bounty from local farms and ranches: late summer fruits and vegetables, early winter greens and root crops, along with plenty of yard eggs from hens happy to see a change in the weather.  Ranchers bring naturally grown pork, pastured chicken, grass-fed beef and lamb for fall soups and stews.

Shoppers can enjoy unique ready-to-eat foods, regional wines and hot and cold coffee drinks in the fresh fall weather. There’s homemade baked goods, jams/jellies, Hill Country olive oils and so much more to choose from. Live music from local performers livens the fall air as friends meet and greet and eat.

November and December’s Holiday Markets add an opportunity to find truly unique gifts produced by local artisans. Bath soaps, candles, children’s clothes and kitchen linens, lavender products, alpaca and mohair goods, and much more are available for the discerning giver.

The Dripping Springs Farmers Market is held each Wednesday afternoon (rain or shine), 3-6pm at the Triangle/Veterans Memorial Park on the corner of Hwy 290 and RR 12 in the heart of Dripping Springs. For more information, or to inquire about acquiring a booth at the market, visit www.cityofdrippingsprings.com, or call 512-858-4725.
