A partial sedimentation/filtration and detention pond is also proposed for this development. The sealed proposals must be in a standard reply format, and each proposal must include a response to each item in the RFP in the order given. PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO CREATE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 9

The City of Dripping Springs will consider a request to enact an ordinance in Compliance with Article 30.03 of the Dripping Springs Code of Ordinances to create Planned Development District ("PDD") Number 9, commonly known as Farmstead at Caliterra, which shall encompass an approximately 18.532 acre tract located on the western side of RR 12 generally located between Butler Ranch Rd to the north and Blue Ridge Drive to the south, and further establish regulations and guidelines for the development and construction of the mixed-use, master-planned project and provide for the following: rules; standards; procedures; criminal penalties; and, severability.

 

PDD 9 will encompass a master-planned community incorporating a mix of multifamily housing, and commercial uses. To allow for the mixture of uses in the subdivision, some modifications of the City's Code of Ordinances may be necessary, including but not limited to, setbacks, lot sizes, building height, and permitted uses. The property is also subject to the Caliterra Development Agreement.

 

The legal description of the property is: 18.532 acres of land out of the P.A. Smith League, Survey No. 26, abstract no. 415 in Hays County, Texas, being a portion of that certain (595.818 acre) tract of land as conveyed to Development Solutions Cat, LLC, by deed recorded in volume 4682, page 342 of the official public records of Hays County, Texas.

Announcing Public Comment Period for Proposed Amendments to the Mobile Food Vendor Ordinance

The City would like to announce that proposed draft Mobile Food Vendor Ordinance amendments will be posted on the City website today to be available for public inspection and comment. This public comment period is open until January 12, 2018. Staff will also meet with local business owners and Mobile Food Vendor owners to receive their input, in addition to elected and appointed officials.

The City highly encourages citizens to provide comments on the draft Ordinance amendments. Please send comments in writing to: acunningham@cityofdrippingsprings.com

City Staff has identified a need to amend the City’s Mobile Food Vendor Ordinance (Code of Ordinances, Chapter 30: Zoning, Article 30.05). Mobile Food Vendors are becoming increasingly common, and as a result, the City has received feedback from citizens and local business owners who feel the impact of Mobile Food Vendors. As part of a larger effort to amend the City’s development-related ordinances, amending the Mobile Food Vendor Ordinance will take part in the first phase.

Staff is drafting proposed amendments to the Ordinance that place emphasis on safety while also creating an enjoyable experience for the community as a whole. Since this has become a topic of interest in the community, the City is seeking as much public input as possible before the Ordinance amendments are considered for adoption.

Below is a brief timeline and explanation of what the City is trying to achieve with the Mobile Food Vendor Ordinance amendments.

Phase 1: Mobile Food Vendors (Completion Goal: Late Fall/Winter 2017 – 2018)

This phase will address Article 30.05: Mobile Food Vendors. It may include a significant rewrite to establish stricter controls on location and timing of mobile food vendors; requirements for mobile food parks including restrooms, landscaping, and other amenities; revision of which zoning districts mobile food vendors can be located in; review of CUP standards and determination of what permits are needed for temporary food vendors. This phase will include significant input from elected and appointed officials, staff, and the public.

NOTICE OF RATE CHANGE

The City of Drippings Springs will conduct a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on January 24, 2017, and a public hearing before the City Council on February 15, 2017 giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard regarding an amendment to Chapter 30, Exhibit A: Zoning Ordinance, Section 2.35, of the City’s Code of Ordinances, to add procedure for Planning and Zoning Commission reconsideration of denied application for zoning change.
