Saturday, May 11th, 2024!

On Saturday, May 11, the City of Dripping Springs Parks and Community Service Department along with the Hays County Master Naturalists, the Hays County Master Gardeners, Tree Folks, and Dripping Springs Wild Birds Unlimited will hold the 4th Annual Festival of Flight, a World Migratory Bird Day event. Festival of Flight is a free event that will be held at Dripping Springs Ranch Park from 8:00am -11pm and will celebrate and educate about the key role that migrant bird species play in our ecosystem and the economy.

The Dripping Springs Festival of Flight is one of the events being held worldwide as part of World Migratory Bird Day, a global annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their habitats. This local event will help educate attendees on how migrant species play an important economic role in Dripping Springs and help generate millions in recreational dollars statewide. Festival of Flight will also educate the citizens on migratory birds and their habitats, including how they are declining throughout the Americas and how they face a growing number of threats on their migration routes in both their summer and winter homes.
