Farmers Market Every Wednesday - Following Safety Guidelines
Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order on March 2, 2021 that allows all businesses to be open at 100% and lifted the statewide mask mandate effective March 10th, 2021. Based on guidance from state and federal health entities, the Farmers Market, the City has decided to lift the mask mandate but to encourage the wearing of face coverings and other safety measures such as social distancing for vendors and participants. City Staff and volunteers will continue to wear face coverings at the Farmers Market and the City will continue to have masks available at the Farmers Market for anyone who may want a mask. The City may require face coverings at any Farmers Market that is held indoors. The City will also continue to facilitate curbside pickup for its vendors so that vendors and participants have the most options possible to safely shop the Market.
Please keep in mind that each vendor can institute its own rules related to masks and serving its customers. If a vendor wishes to require face coverings for interactions, it may do so. However, if a vendor chooses to require face coverings please determine whether curbside or remote pickup by individuals who do not wear a face covering can be offered.
Please contact Farmers Market Manager Charlie Reed if you have any questions.
The City will continue to consider all safety rules related to the current Public Health Emergency.
Thanks for your support and we’ll see you at the Market!
