Parks & Community Services Mission Statement

“It is our mission to foster community by preserving parks and open space; by connecting people to our natural resources and cultural history; and by offering engaging programs and events.

Our parks & trails are open! We invite the Dripping Springs Community and visitors to enjoy recreating while being respectful of others and honor a social distance of at least 6' while adhering to all other recommended health and safety guidelines for recreating in public places.

Dripping Springs is located in Central Texas approximately twenty-three miles west of Austin. The City currently has 571.29 acres of parkland that serves approximately 25,000 residents in Dripping Springs and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ, aka unincorporated Dripping Springs). The Parks and Community Services Department oversees parks and facilities as well as facilitates quality of life programming and other community services. The park system inventory includes Dripping Springs' 110 acre Premier Ranch Park and Event Center venue and the popular Dripping Springs Farmers Market located at Veterans Memorial Park.  Founders Memorial Park and Sports and Recreation Park feature park amenities such as athletic fields, walking and jogging trails, volleyball and basketball, play structures and the Founders Memorial Park Pool. Charro Ranch Park is a popular location to enjoy nature in an iconic Texas Hill Country setting while reflecting on its trails. This passive recreation park features a bird blind and learning about flora and fauna as it fosters nature immersion.
