City of Dripping Springs Municipal Elections
May 2024 Municipal Elections - CANCELLED
The City of Dripping Springs, a Type A General Law Municipality, conducts elections for Mayor and City Council Members the first May of each year. The Mayor and Council Members are elected at-large with each Council Member elected to a Place, one (1) through five (5). The Mayor and Council Members Place two (2) and Place four (4) are elected in even years and Council Members Place one (1), Place three (3) and Place five (5) are elected in odd years. The May 2024 Municipal Election will be for Mayor, Place 2 and Place 4.

Requirements for Elected Office
Applications for Place on the Ballot for the May 2024 Municipal Election may be filed with the City Secretary beginning Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. and through Friday, February 16, 2024, 5:00 p.m. at City Hall (511 Mercer Street – Dripping Springs, TX 78620), or by mail to P.O. Box 384 – Dripping Springs, TX 7860. Applications can be downloaded from the Candidate Forms menu to the left. Requirements for Elected Office are listed below and applicants not meeting requirements will be notified.

Polling Locations and Date of Elections
Elections for May 2024 will be held on May 4, 2024, with Early Voting being conducted Monday, April 22 - Tuesday, April 30, 2024. City elections are contracted with the Hays County Elections Administrator and more information regarding Election Contracts may be requested from the City Secretary.
The City of Dripping Springs participates in the Countywide Polling Place program allowing eligible Hays County voters to cast a ballot at any designated polling location within Hays County where elections are being held. The Hays Commissioners Court approves polling locations within the county and more information regarding voting/polling locations is available on the menu to the left and will be posted as it becomes available.
Voter Registration & Ballot by Mail
Applications for Ballot by Mail may be requested from the Hays County Voter Registrar or downloaded here: Application for Ballot by Mail. The last day to apply for ballot by mail for the May 2024 election is Tuesday, April 23, 2024 (received, not postmarked). Voter Registration cards are available at various locations throughout the community, including but not limited to Dripping Springs City Hall, Dripping Springs Public Library, Hays County Offices and may also be downloaded here: Texas Voter Registration. The last day to register to vote for the May 2024 election is Thursday, April 4, 2024.
