About Us

About Our Department

We currently have 571.29 acres of parkland that serves approximately 25,000 residents in Dripping Springs and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ, aka unincorporated Dripping Springs). The Parks and Community Services Department oversees parks and facilities as well as facilitates quality of life programming and other community services. The park system inventory includes Dripping Springs' 110 acre Premier Ranch Park and Event Center venue and the popular Dripping Springs Farmers Market located at the Pound House Farmstead at Founders Memorial Park.  Founders Memorial Park and Sports and Recreation Park feature park amenities such as athletic fields, walking and jogging trails, volleyball and basketball, play structures and the Founders Memorial Park Pool. Charro Ranch Park is a popular location to enjoy nature in an iconic Texas Hill Country setting while reflecting on its trails. This passive recreation park features a bird blind and learning about flora and fauna as it fosters nature immersion. And we have new parks that are on the horizon!
